LOS ANGELES (November 18, 2010)—TWC Aviation, Inc., an international leader in private jet aviation, today announced that the company has been added to the Industry Audit Standard (IAS) Registry by the nonprofit Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF). TWC Aviation earned IAS Registered status by successfully completing a rigorous auditing process conducted by ACSF-approved expert auditors. The announcement was made by Andrew Richmond, president of TWC Aviation, and Russell Lawton, director of safety management at the Air Charter Safety Foundation.
The IAS is the only extensive audit program specifically created for on-demand operators and shared aircraft ownership companies. The meticulous audit examines processes, procedures, and regulatory compliance, as well as Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and adherence. In October 2010, the Federal Aviation Administration formally acknowledged the Air Charter Safety Foundation’s Industry Audit Standard as a tool to validate a company’s SMS.
“We are extremely proud of this achievement,” says Andrew Richmond, president of TWC Aviation. “Along with our Stage Two IS-BAO status, earned earlier this year, IAS certification is one more reason for charter customers to trust our commitment to safety and operational excellence.
“We welcome TWC Aviation to the select group of IAS Registered Operators. When customers choose charter operators from the IAS Registry they are assured of the highest standards of safety and compliance,” says Russell Lawton, director of safety management at the Air Charter Safety Foundation.
About the Air Charter Safety Foundation
The Air Charter Safety Foundation works to enhance the safety and security practices of charter and shared aircraft owners and operators in the United States and worldwide. Through research, collaboration and education, the foundation advances charter and shared aircraft ownership industry standards and best practices; promulgates safety, security, and service benchmarks; and promotes the universal acceptance of safety management systems. IAS Registered Operators are listed at www.acsf.aero/registry.
